It was awesome! Before I even moved to Oklahoma, all those I knew from Oklahoma were raving about this place. I went with some friends, and all 4 of us split the giant Meer's burger, along with some condiments. It was great. We especially loved the peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert! They make all their beef from their own cows grown right there.

I have loved the burgers here ever since I was a kid! The whole experience is great regardless of the wildlife refuge! That is a bonus! Burgers then wildlife in that order!

If you are at the Wildlife Refuge or just visiting the area, you should definitely stop by Meers. This is not a place just decorated to look old - this is the real McCoy. The wooden floor is uneven, the tables are sometimes slanted and nothing matches but that's all part of the charm. And don't forget to check out the seisomograph.
But the Meersburger is the reason most people stop here. This is a fantastic burger made with Longhorn beef. The barbeque is also really and they have a wide variety of sides and desserts.
You don't want to miss Meers - it's an Oklahoma institution.
